The activity is part of the Joint Task Force Diamond program, dubbed as "Operation Christmas Drop," which aims to distribute food packs and other supplies in selected hard-to-reached communities in the two regions.

MGen Andres C Centino, Commander of 4ID, Philippine Army and Joint Task Force Diamond, said that this activity is a simple way of extending Christmas's meaning to the people by spreading the love through a gift-giving no matter how far.

The gifts came from soldiers of JTF-Diamond, DSWD, and different generous donors.
